Meet The Staff

Laura Cardenas is a Transfer Achievement Program Counselor. Laura was born and raised in Santa Barbara. She received her AA in Liberal Arts at Santa Barbara City College and is currently attending Antioch University where she is earning her BA in Psychology. She is a single mom with three daughters. She works part time in the Transfer Achievement Program. On her free time Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Most of her free time consists of various sports activities her children are involved in, including traveling with her daughter's soccer team.

Dr. JennyErika Barco is the Transfer Achievement Program  Coordinator|Counselor. JennyErika is a proud Central American raised in South Los Angeles. She received her BA in Spanish and M.S. in Counseling from Cal State L.A.  JennyErika completed her doctorate degree in Education with the focus on academic advisement and 1st generation Latinx student academic success. On her spare time she enjoys Nature walks, taking salsa classes and savor Birria tacos.
